Default Possible damage?

So yesterday I was just driving my ej8 with the stock d16y8 and i/h/e, and my gas pedal got stuck under my floor mat (yeah..wtf?) and the engine was bouncing of the rev limiter for a couple of seconds. I quickly shut off the engine while driving and stopped on the side of the road, and figured out what happened. I drove it afterward and everything seems fine, popped the hood and listened to the engine, sounds normal, but I am still concerned? So, could I have fucked something up?

It's fine.

But go to Honda and ask for the floormat repair. They'll install the pin that holds the floormat in place so that doesn't happen again.

Thanks for the reply NOFX. Haven't seen u on cc in a long time. Anyways, would the dealer do that for free or what? I usually don't have a floormat on the driver side because of this, but it has been raining so..

No problem. Yeah, not into that site as much. Too much drama and not enough to learn. Not that this site usually caters to my interests either, but it does a better job.

Bring in your floormat when you want it done. This is a free safety mod done by Honda.

Oh, and MAKE SURE THEY ONLY MAKE ONE CUT INTO THE CARPET. They did two on mine and now I have a square hole that shows through to the red on my car.

Basically there are two slits under the front of your driver's seat. They run from the front of the car back. They should only cut to make the fronts of those lines meet together. If they cut the rear apart too, you'll have a big square hole in your carpet. If you're **** retentive like me, you'll want to replace the entire carpet. With OEM carpet.
