Default is this possible?

i'm getting a 92 civic LX for free and its an auto. I have a d16a6 and tranny laying in my garage from my crx. Is it possible to use the cable tranny in an eg chassis? if i swapped over all of the pedals, cable, and mounts?

well..i dont think i'll need the hydro to cable adapter because i'm not starting out with a hydro to begin with....i want to know if i can somehow hook up a full cable setup (including pedals) to an eh chassis with no problems? this seems easier than hooking up a hydro system..because i just have to run a cable.

No, you dont get it.

There are kits that let you install a cable tranny into a HYDRO car.

that is the EASIEST way.

I see what you're saying, since the car you have is an automatic you have no hydraulic lines for the tranny to begin with right? Well I am not sure but why don't you try it out and let us know?

92+ Civics = hydro tranny
~91 Civics/CRX = Cable tranny

Need that kit just to mount the tranny

then you still gotta mount the lines, shifter, pedal assembly etc

Yup, you are not just doing a cable to hydro conversion, you are doing 2 things here:
a. cable-hydro conv.
b. auto-manual conv.

oh, auto.. Doh!

yeah, you will be doing a auto to manual swap.

I think you are going to need some mounts/brackets too then.

i dont need to convert from hydro to cable because hydro doesnt exist on the car right now..so basically i just need to find out if i can moutn the cable system in the car...i know it can be done..i just want to know if has been done...and what all will be involved..so here are my questions

1.will the pedals from an EF fit?
2.will the linkage fit?
3.will the tranny fit with its stock mounts?
4. how much is a d16z6 tranny and hydro conversion?? it may just be easier to do that than try to use this tranny i have
