Default Poly Bushings For LCA dont fit!?!?!?!?! HELP ASAP

I got some polyurethan bushings from energy suspension and they dont seem like they fit. I just need someone to tell me that they are suppose to have a little play in them, the outer part does not go in the bushing and the inner part is far too small to fill the hole. They are made for my car also, i dont know what to do. Are they the right thing?!?!?! Help ASAP.

they are for the bottom of the strut, and when i called he said he knew what i was talking about, and now i have these control arm bushings. Are they for where the control arm mounts to the hub assembly? Did they give me the wrong god damn part? It is for the rear lower , what is it i need?

I think for the ES bushing you have to melt the rubber out of the LCA and leave the steel sleve in the LCA. I have Prothane and they gave me the steel sleve.

ok then, did you get the sleeves with the bushing, if not look at the thickness of the LCA with out the bushing, how do expect to get any support on the bushing, my whole car has ES bushing and on all the bushing its says to leave the sleeve in. If you have the sleeves out look at them and see if it looks like it will fit togather.

Yes you need to completely remove the stock bushing which consists of the inner steel collar, the rubber surrounding it, and a steel sleeve that contains the whole assembly. You can burn or drill the rubber out and the ghetto method to remove the sleeve is to cut two shallow grooves, about 1/4" appart, through most of the thickness of the sleeve (be carefull that you don't cut into the LCA) then use a large flat bladed screw driver and a hammer to carefully break that cut section out and then the whole sleeve will come out.

You can also just take the whole LCA to any garage and depending on how busy/cool they are they will press out the old bushings for a few bucks.

I took 2 rear LCA's to a shop and the guy charged me $300 to press out the 6 bushings. Said it was a way more difficult than he could have imagined.

Burn and cut works for me.

If your talking about the bushing that are in the LCA that hold the strut on, and you didn't get new outer sleeves, pull the whole LCA off the car, take a pair of vice grips, grab the inner matel busing and heat the crap out of the busing till the rubber bubbles, then twist the vice grip the rubber should pull away from the outer sleeve, then all you'll have to do is get rid of the little bit of rubber thats left on the outer sleeve. If you pull the whole bushing out you have to get it back in with the same over hang as it was in there before you pulled it out.

The ES bushings don't use the sleeves.
