PLX-M300 install Q
OK.
Just got this thing today.
Im looking at the manual. It says, connect the 12V source as near ECU as possible. This power should be only be supplied when the key is turned past specific position. Make sure this connection is capable of supplying at least 3Amps.
Is there some good source near ECU. Or can I connect it to ECUs own source?
I already have Apexi VAFC connected...

Re: PLX-M300 install Q (ej2civic)
I hooked mine up at the key switch along with the turbo timer and don't have any problems. That was the only power source I could find with the key in the on position without standing on my head and doing some hardcore searching. However I don't use mine for tuning, only o2 reading.

Who installed your VAFC?
VAFC taps into the ecu wires like your wideband manual tells you to. So you want to put the wideband before the VAFC wires.

Where do I put that oxygen sensor heater 20ohm/10W "cheater" resistor?</TD></TR></TABLE>
from ladysman:
Take a dead O2 sensor and cut the wires. SOlder the resistor on the ground wires. Heat shrink or tape. Done.
