plug wires/plugs....bosch vs. ngk?
allright, i got a few questions...
first, right now im just looking to replace my plug wires...will any plug wires from like auto zone work?
second..if i decide to get some ngk blues...will they work well with the bosch platinums/double platinums? or jus get some ngks to go with it?
last..i need new spark plugs TODAY...will bosch platinums work fine with OEM wires and stuff?
sorry for the questions...not really an electrical guy. all advice is welcome!

They will, but not very well at all. Get OEM.

Platinum plugs suck in a Honda. Use NGK or Denso.

Again, they'll work, but not the best. OEM: NGK or Denso. You can get them at any parts store for about $1 each. The irridiums are around $12, but if you're stock, they're not worth it.

I use Denso plugs and they are great. Cheap and work well with my car. They are also good for OEM wires.

I would go with Magnecor or OEM wires. For Magnecor, PM this guy:

Re: (panasoanic)
so, which are the stock plugs? the standard ngk's, or the "v-power" ones? will the v-power work? i think they're the only ones sold around here...

platinums i have had the electrodes break of on me twice and i wouldn't trust any plug that says it pre-gapped. all you got to do is drop one and your gap is way off.

OEM wires are the ones you buy from Honda. They are very good wires. I tried the Autozone wires, they were crap, the ends pulled off of them after I removed them a couple times to check the plugs. If your ignition is stock, I'd use Honda wires.
I've heard you shouldn't use Bosch plugs in a Honda. I used a set for a few months and they were fine, but now I use another brand.

You can use them, they won't harm the engine, but Honda makes the best ignition components for their own engines. NGK and Denso give the best performance in a Honda motor.

That's not true. Bosch makes fantastic products, and is the OEM supplier for every German manufacturer. The problem is that their products aren't optimized for a small Honda motor.

all it takes is the guy in the warehouse (or the parts store) to drop a one of these your only talking about a few thousands. do you ever gap your own plugs? i would say that on average every time i do a set, 3 out of 4 of the are fine, but the last one is way off. every time. now imagine you got one of them bosch +4 platinum deals, how do you even measure the gap on that? let alone set it right.

Yeah I relise what you're saying, I was just being sarcastic. I always gap my plugs, and check the 'pre-gapped' ones; and for the most part, they were usually fine.
It's been about 5 years since I've had German car, so I haven't bought a Bosch plug in a while; but I know many who have, and don't even bother checking the gap and are fine. I know what you're getting at though.
