Default Plug and wires??

I have a 99 si with the 18g turbo kit. I just got rid of the **** nology hot wire cause they were all f*ed up. I also trashed the crap bosch platinums. I now have ngk 3330 plugs and they are gapped at .036. What is a good gap to run around 13 psi of boost. The car does have a beefed up ignition system. Also, what is a good wire and wire diameter. I have cheapo autozone wires on there just to keep me going until I order some good wires. I have heard stock Honda wires are fine. Just looking for some info to make my decision on. Also need a spark plug cover...btw. And the turbo is blowing oil by the seal and all through the intake piping. Does anyone know where I can buy just the blades and seals for the insides of the turbo. I don't feel like paying for a whole new turbo and would much rather just rebuilt it. Thanks.

Don't know the answers to your questions, but I just thought I'd suggest asking this in the forced induction forum.

Free bump anyway...

I should gap that low!? That sounds really low, but this is my first turbo car...so I'll try anything. Thanks.

No I do not have a catch can. I have heard that these help, but I think the turbo is the main problem. What is a catch can...by the way...and how do they work?? I'll probably replace/repair the turbo and get a catch can all at the same time.

I think this is called the charcoal canister. You have to make a catch can, or buy one. I know there is a thread somewhere on here that details all the parts you need to make it with instructions.

No that would be the charcoal canister. to take pressure and fuel vapors from the fuel tank and feeds it to the intake manifold

on a stock civic the Crank Case is vented to the intake to relieve pressure. so oil is going into your Intake manifold.

The catch can. takes the crank case pressure and sends its back to the intake manifold and it the catch can just catch's all the oil so that it is not going Into the Combustion chamber.;

Thanks for the info. Do you know anywhere I can buy one, a brand, model or part #?? Also, I did regap the plugs although I didn't go all the way down to .025 I went to .028 and I am still getting some misfire at aobut 6300 rpm in 3rd gear. Probably need to replace the plugs and regap them all the way down to .025...what you suggested first. Is there anything I can do to pump up the spark? The car has a Crane Cams coil and multi-spark ignition and is still using a distributor. Would you suggested swapping it all out for MSD or another brand or setup?? I think Crane Cams is bought out Accel and I thought there stuff was pretty good. btw...I did not build this motor, bought the car like this, so it is taking me some time to go through the car and get everything ironed out and done properly. Sucks for my only mode of transportation and daily driver. I wish I could just put the car down for a week or two and just deal with all the small problems I'm having. Anyway, thanks for the advice so far and any further advice you or anyone else has.

Go buy a MSD cap for external Coil. and buy an external coil that will give you some good spark Should cost you around $100 for the coil and $30 for the cap.

also be sure that your timing is correct.

try these plugs at .25-.28 gap

NGK BRK7E

go to any place that sells NGK and ask for part number 4554
