hello every1...pls help meeeeeeee......the motor on my 94 hatch finally gave out... im looking into getting the "d15b" at hmotors but not quite sure what else i need to make the car run again.....

i've done my share of searching, but most of the topics cover turbo d15's and thats not what im going for...i just need to find out what i need to get my car to run again.....not looking for turbo...can't afford it working only part time and full time at school.....pls help me out honda-tech guru's......

saw this at hmotors website....



and comes with these:

- Motor
- Intake Manifold
- Exhaust Manifold
- Injectors
- Fuel Rail
- Throttle body
- Alternator
- Distributor
- 5 Speed Hydro Tranny (add $150 )

1. do i need anything else for the swap
2. do i need to change/upgrade my suspension
3. i didnt see anything about "ecu" on the list...what do i need to get?
4. and i read something about "obd" stuff...what the hell is that.....?

pls help me out...have no idea about swapping or pretty much anything else about fixing cars....pls help me make my hatch run again.......

check your pm.... use that and it will guide you with any questions you have.

also remember your putting a different engine in your car. so you will have smog check issues and you will have to get the engine bar'd with the state. unless having your hood popped is not a problem for you.

when you said "bar'd" will it cost a lot to do that......?

Yes, a P28 ECU and wiring your VTEC. That's about it, while you at it get the tranny that corresponds with the engine. Its an S20 B000, you have to pay an additional 150 but it's well worth it.

No, but seeing as your in cali try to get a 94-95 D15B because anything under you wont be able to pass smog legally (unless the smog tech doesnt car or know what his looking at).

Just use you wiring harness and your good. It should come with an ecu but incase it doesnt then you might need to get one. You dont want to run your stock.

thanks so much for all the info guys...i really really appreciate all your help......will pick up the motor as soon as i get my tax return and i will keep that 94-95 motor thing in mind.......thanks again every1........
