Default PLEASE HELP--->noise in rear of 94 Civic Hatch

Ok so I have a 94 Civic Hatch and when I drive it at any rate of speed there is a constant waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaa noise coming from somewhere in the rear tires or around there.....When I am on the highway and there is a turn and I turn to the left the noise continues to be constant but when I turn right the noise stops until I go straight again.

The previous owner sold it to me primarily because of the noise and now I am sick of the stupid noise as well.... Either way, the previous owner said that he changed the brake drums along with the brakes and the noise has comtinued...the tires were also rotated and the noise continues. Please let me know if you have any idea of how I can diagnose the problem myself without taking it to a shop and getting ripped a new a$$hole.

I would appreciate any help or suggestions that you might have.

Thank You in advance!

Might be a bad wheel bearing.

Raise the rear end on stands, release the parking brake, and spin each of the rear wheels. Replace the bearing on the wheel that makes noise when spun. I think the bad wheel is on the right.

Good idea, I will definitely try that and get back to you.

So would it be the right reear bearing if when I turn right the noise stops?...Also the car is stick shift, do I just leave it in gear in order for it not to roll forward?...additionally, does the bearing go attatch with the assembly hub or is it seperate and I wont have to replace both?

Thank You!

If one of the rear bearings indeed turns out to be bad, then you would replace the rear wheel hub unit.

Thanks, in my post above, I replaced the incorrect diagram with a link to the correct diagram at the Majestic Honda site.
