PLEASE HELP!!!! i see some small spots of oil floating in coolent resivoir!!!
well there is few very small dots of what looks to be oil floating on top of the resivoir, i was told not to be worried that oil will sit at the bottem of the resivoir so its not oil, well im still very worried i see no smoke comming from the exhust and seems to idel fine plus the temp looks to be in good shape, the car performs like what it regularly does with no noises and no smoke what can it be? im running a 10 psi pulley (9psi at 8500 rpm) vortech sc with a fulley tuned hondata s200 and running a duty cycle of 60 percent at 8500 rpm on 720 cc injectors i was wondering how i can make sure its not the motor and maybe i threw in some old coolent from my old car? please help!!

what about your oil level, do u burn coolant
if u dont burn oil
dont burn coolant
and the temp doesnt change
then ur good
just watch it

i do burn some oil but no coolent, iam pushing 300whp but i now dont see any types of oil spots, they were about a ball point size oil spots floating may be about a dozen of them floting but not any more, so im kinda puzzled. the car runs fine no over heating, no bad idling problems, not really a sign of head gasket problem.

hrm
well try this, remove and empty out the coolant in the resevour
Then fill it back up with regular water ( if you live in a place where it doesnt freeze)
Then see if the spots come back.
keep us posted.

Your oil will float at the top of the water due to its lower density......

one of the sign s of a bad headgasket is bubbles in ur oil besides seeing in ur water
if its a gasket problem and ur losing oil i really doubt u have a oil burning problem..the oil is going out ur tailpipe
there s stuff on the market now..ive seen it advirtise d..that ll seal small leaks in the gasket

That's a terrible way to check for a blown headgasket because you'll also get bubbles in your oil if you overfill it.

Nothing's going to seal a leak between an oil journal and a coolant pocket. I work for Valvoline and do this **** for a living. You'd know if your headgasket was blown, mainly because you'd be billowing white smoke and losing coolant (not oil, retards) like a motherbitch.
No more listening to the asshat noobies, they don't know ****.

yah i dunno why people are so quick to assume that its a blown headgasket
assess before you diagnose.

Re: (SLATER97EX)
my del sol started blowing hella white smoke and overheating so i left it in the garage for a week untill i could get my mechanic to look at it and yesterday he came, we turned on the car and it was normal no white smoke ran at good temp. what could have caused it to just go away?
