Re: Please help Gsr rear seat install (k20EP3)
Yes the top on the civic is where the hook connects to the locking latch and on the gsr's the latches are on the side of the seats then seats i suppose would latch onto some sort of peg on the integra body/interior and they operate as two individual pieces where the civic is all one unit ?? Still stuck on this one...thx

Re: Please help Gsr rear seat install (boston's_rex)
(sorry, im having trouble understanding the question)
i _think_ your asking about the latch to allow the seats to fold down, yes?
for coupes you need 4-door integra (any trim) rear seats. the 2 door integra's are "hatchbacks" so the seats fold down with the pull of a **** next to the seat, while in coupes and 4-door's you turn the key behind it and they fold down.
solution: you need 4-door rear seats, at least the upper portion of them.

Are the 4 door rear seats narrow enough? because the 2 doors are too wide to even fit...
And IMO he lower section fits too porly to justify putting it in. on a coupe at least.
I'm prob. going to end up just getting the stock rear civic seat re-upholstered to match the fronts.
Only DIY solution I could see (using a leather teg setup that fit fine in a hatch) would be to cut the top of the foam from the civic lower section flat and the bottom of the foam from the integra lower section and bond the two together... that way the height/width would be right and the look would be a LITTLE better... You'd obviously have to recover the protruding ends of the civic lower section... with some self-expanding foam you could probobly shape it out decent.
For the uppers you really don't have much options besides stripping the skins off the integra upper section and sewing the two parts together and laying them over the stock civic upper section... But the seam will be all wrong and frankly I don't think it'll cover the civic upper rear well at all.
If the teg uppers were too narrow or the right size you could just make a bracket that mounts into the teg side latches AND the civic middle latch... but they're like 2-3 inches too wide if I remember correctly.
DEFINATELY post if you find out for SURE that the 4 door rears fit the coupe.

Re: Please help Gsr rear seat install (Tatakai)
See I bought my setup out of a civic not a teg... so I'm not sure if they're 2 or 4 door... I believe their 2 door seats... but the split fold rear teg seats DEFINATELY don't fit a coupe... they're too wide.
The 4 door seats might fit I have no idea.
Either way it doesn't seem to me that any of them are any where near direct fit... for the cost it's almost worth it to just recover the stock civic rears... Although recovering seats is pretty freaking expensive.

Re: Please help Gr rear seat install (Nonbusiness)
I went to m!n!s house and we got the upper part to work great. I drilled the hole out on the bottom where the civic 10MM mounting point was and squeezed it in. Fits real good IMO, but the bottom half is a little small, I'll try to get m!n!-me to take some pics.

Re: Please help Gr rear seat install (boston's_rex)
I got the seats from someone front and back for 300 bucks so thought for the deal would give it a shot... It was raining all day today out here but will try to post some pics of seats installed. I do think though if fit is right the 4 door back top portion would have been a better choice for the swap because it is all one piece and latches at top like the civic, but very hard to find.
