alright Im in the middle of instaling my new fuel pump on my del sol. I know the fuel pump is under the back pannels behind the seat, so we started pulling the pannels out. We took out the middle console/ armrest. Then we unscrewed the screws on the storage areas and inside the storage boxes. We pulled the pannel out that is under the rear window and the other part that is connceted with the storage boxes and all. There still seems to be something holding it in because it is not coming out. we have searched for other screws but there are none. Does anyone know how to solve this prob???? or have a diagram??? your help would be much appreciated! TIA!

If you've removed the center console/armrest and have taked out the screws in the front bottom of the piece behind each seat and the screws in the storage boxes, you should be able to lift the storage bins from the front where the plastic meets the carpet. Just lift and pull forward since it's just clips behind the back part. I ran into the same thing when I gutted my paneling to put in a sub box.

there shouldnt be anything holding it in. did you disconnect it from the piping leading to the engine? you might have to pop it off with something. (preferably something NON-METAL, dont want any sparks during this process..)

its not the actual fuel pump cover its the plastic panels in the rear

hey man this is simple...after u have taken the seat and center console out all u have to do is take out the screws on the surroundings and the one in the middle too it think it is a 10m or a 12m might even be 14m socket...after that u can pulled it out and just disconnect the wires or plugs....

i took the screws that are in the storage bin out, i took the srcews behind the seats out and took the center concole out, and popped off the piece under the window and it feels like there is something still holding it in place!!!

i'm talking about the one in the middle where the fuel line is pumping out fuel from...u know where the fuel pump is at the round circle thing and there should be some screws around it including the one in the center of the fuel pump...try getting that one out and hopefully it works....by brother has a del sol too and we took it out with no problem or hasel.....

yeah but the rear storage binswill not come out

there are two screws that hold the rear storage pins straight down in the bottom of the bins. if that is not it have you taken off there rear speaker panels? there mihgt be somehting there. i havnt had my storage bins for over a year so cant remember exactly!!!!
