Yes, the EX has always been on the "higher" end of all the models. Just like the SI is always the "sporty" model of all the civic's.
If you have the stock motor, it should be the D15B7 hence the 102HP. The EX has the D16Z6 which has 125HP and a few more lbs of torque.

Look at the engine, under the 1st runner of the header (left side). There should be a little rectangle that sticks off the block at a slight angle facing upward. There should be an engine stamp there (ie - D15B7, D16Z6, etc.).
Read what it says and come back here with it if you don't know what motor it is or look it up.

if its a 94 dx tho you are probly making like 90 hp now
b7 are good for economy but you will want to swap it out for power my old b7 had trouble climbing hills at 65 mph swapped in a y8 and no more issue

Even with a y8, you still have to downshift. Don't you love torque-less d-series motors.

Then you have a DX. Or you could have an LX too. I think you'll have to look at what options are on your car now.

Look where I boxed in red...
Since you mentioned D15B7, it sounds like you found the correct number. But just making sure because "A46160348" definitely does not resemble a honda engine stamp at all.

Re: (amej8)
Sunroof is the easiest way to tell. If no sunroof, then its probably a DX or LX. If it has more power options its probably an LX. Read the block like everyone said.

Crank.
If you're still unsure what model you have, just go to CARFAX.com and enter your VIN. No guessing involved.
