Its the set selling for 98 dollars i dunno if anyone is familiar with it. Anyone know of the quality? i havent decided if i want to get a sub and speakers (the civic already has fronts but no backs, wherever the hell id put back on speakers on a 91 hatch) or just get a sub and an amp and just leave with it with the front speakers.

remember if you buy it, you get what you pay for!!!
pioneer is a decient brand of electronics and when my customers comein looking for something i always tell them to get the pioneer deh-1600 because they never come back, and its a good enry level deck, unless of course they jam like 5 cd's into it.

For the most part I agree. BUT, I got 300 watt Pyramid 6x9's for my rears from JC Whitney (I know they suck) for $60 shipped, and they are some of the best 6x9's I have ever heard (distortion and bass/treble-wise). Having them hooked up to an amp is incredible for having no subs.
Personally, I wouldn't buy anything stereo-wise from Wal-Mart unless you have heard them first (And actually like them), especially what you are talking about. Just my .02. Good luck.

Ya I think you'll be fine. I bought the "Roadmaster" brand 6x9 speakers from walmart as a temporary solution to no sound. They cost $19.99. Honestly, they were well worth the price. Then I hooked them up to an amp and they were very clean and good bass was produced.

You do get what you pay for definately with audio crap. BUT, heres what your looking for. Remember, cheap speakers = low RMS (watts). But that might be good for you, it depends on your head unit. Most headunits only put out between 25-55 watts, with only 15-25 RMS. Your typical speakers that come with hondas now only have a RMS rating between 15-25 watts at best. So thats good!
Three-way 6x9's are really good for your treble quality, and if I were you, for bass I would get a sub and amp. In a hatch 300-500watts sounds mint, anything more anyway is gonna require more expensive wiring and your gonna need a cap. and all that crap! Just get that set from walmart, but make sure it has the adaptor otherwise you will be running out again in half an hour.
Good luck. If you have any audio questions, you can PM me.
