I changed all of my bulbs when I got mine too to make sure it wasn't dim. The only thing that stinks about the sir cluster is that it doesn't let you use the factory dimmer

Bump for pics, cuz I'm getting one soon!
So do you guys that have them already recommend swapping in bigger, brighter bulbs during installation?

The bulbs that light the cluster at night are #24. There were six of them on my eg6 sir cluster. I went to autozone with my olb bulb in hand and the #24 bulbs they had were a tad bit bigger. They almost didn't fit through the cluster but I got them in there. I don't have any issues with my cluster being dim.

I like the brightness. I rather have it be too bright than too dim.

I have another question, I used to have the jdm sirII cluster (white faced gauges) but I sold the car and now I'm looking for something similar but I dont want it in kph.... what are some other choices? I want the amber look basically.

Nah dim is good. You don't need to see how fast you are going and you can shift when you bounce off limiter.

Ebay ... if I did it all over again I'd get an EDM cluster and change the bulbs to amber. That way it would have amber backlighting and read in MPH.
