Picking up a 1992 VX
Alright guys i'm a previous owner of 96 gs-r, and currently have an 06 civic ex (for sale), but i'm picking up a pretty mint 92 VX hatch tomorrow and would like to say hey to everyone in this forum. I've been browsing around for some time now, but would like to get some ideas as to what are some of the first things you guys usually do to you hatches.
It's stock and i'm gonna love it

this part confuses me, so are you or are you not planning on doing anything to it?

Yeah, that threw me a bit too.
I believe he means that it's stock now and he's going to enjoy modding it up.
@ OP:
Good luck, remember, security before you go all out, it's not going to react to thievery like ur '06 civic.

If I got a hold of a stock VX that was in good condition ... I'd keep it for a DD.

Why would you? They're pretty much THE best fwd platform, the 92-95 cx/vx or the 88-91 HF

vx is a true economy car, you could put an el cheapo header on and do a k&n drop in air filter, might even help with gas mileage, but u should make sure everything is in working cond. as well such as maintenance items

Kinda weird bc ijust picked one up last week. Ordered seibon OEM hood and got some championship white paint the same day.... I have mine lowered on some 00 si's
Why when searching for parts California mondels only are in ()'s? i need an o2 sensor but they are prob. the most exspensive on the planet. And as for the good swap platforms...I have an 89hf but dont want it anymore..so its for sale.
Ive wondered where the VX came weighed in compared to other hatches?

~45mpg. I'd keep the motor stock, lower it slightly on decent shocks and sport springs, some good looking wheels, 2.25" vibrant muffler, audio console, SiR-S fold-flat rears and with matching fronts, armrest, and door panels. JDM Gathers audio setup with OEM cassette with CD changer.
Done. I'd love that more than anything else I could build out of it.

Re: Picking up a 1992 VX (turbociviccoupe)
92 VX weighs 2094. I had a 92 VX. With a D16Z6 swap and the vx transmission I ran a 15.8@83 with no other mods.
With a 2000 Si B16A2 I ran a 14.7@92.
I this a 92 SI weighs as much as 2300-2350 so the VX is a drastic difference.

x's 2....although you prob want to go a bit further than just an alarm...
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1794938
then i would go with suspension so when you drop a motor in next, it rides smooth...some wheels then maybe some interior because EH2's, EH3's,etc have ugly fcking front seats....its what i would do but everyone goes in different paths when it comes to building their ride...whatever is easy for you

Re: Picking up a 1992 VX (B18CivicEg)
Only problem on the hatch is some minor fender damage and a couple of dings, so i'll either have all of that taken care of, or i'll swap it and lower it first...who knows because only time will tell. I may pay a shop to do a b18c1 swap for me, but after reading how easy a b18c5 swap is in that hatch I might just do that

b18c1 and b18c5 will be the same(difficulty) to swap. exact same thing minus where you plug some stuff due to intake manifold. gl... make sure you invest in a good alarm
