To people with 15in rims or people that know...
What is a good size tire to use with 15 in rims. Not to big of side wall but something decent. I don't want to be riding Bah ha.

205/50R15 works very well. It retains near stock overall diameter and allows added tire choices and better traction with the 205mm contact patch. I recommend the Potenza RE730, Falken Azenis, and BFG TA/KD.

try the Falken azenis, haven't heard a complaint yet on them, well except for treadlife http://www.discounttiredirect.com has them for $62 a piece in the 250-50-15

yea, they're usually cheap, but if they're gonna be cheap with a SHORT treadlife, then you're better off getting like $90-110 tires with longer treadlife. pretty much you get what you pay for.

Im running 205/50/15 Bridgstone Potenza RE730s and I havent had any problems with them. You will notice the wider tire immediately coming from the stock 195/55/15.

Yup, I have 205/50/15's on my gsr rims. Whatever you do, do not get Nitto450's unless they are free.

thicker the sidewall, the more traction. I use the 50 series with my rota slipstreams
so, go with 205/50's size 15's...

for the Kumho ECSTA Supra 712's what speed rating would you guys suggest? VR or WR?
Speed ratings are based on laboratory tests where the tire is pressed (to reflect its required load) against a large diameter metal drum and run at ever increasing speeds (in 6.2 mph steps in 10 minute increments) until the tire’s required speed has been met.
Speed Rating - Miles/Hour - Kilometers/Hour - Typical Use N=87 MPH, 140km/h, Spare Tires U=124 MPH, 200km/h
P=93 MPH, 150km/h H=130 MPH, 210km/h, Sport Sedans
Q=99 MPH, 160km/h, Winter, LT Tires V=149 MPH, 240km/h, Sports Cars
R=106 MPH, 170km/h, LT Tires Z=149 MPH, 240km/h and over, Sports Cars
S=112 MPH, 180km/h W=168 MPH, 270km/h, Exotic Sport Cars
T=118 MPH, 190km/h Y=186 MPH, 300km/h, Exotic Sport Cars
*Today, the Z-speed rating is the only speed rating that is still branded “within” the tire size, as in P225/50ZR16. All other speed ratings are shown in the tire’s service description.
When Z-speed rated tires were first introduced, they were thought to reflect the highest speed rating that would ever be required. Since that time the automotive industry has found it necessary to add W- and Y-speed ratings (indicated in the tire’s service description) to identify the tires that meet the needs of new vehicles that have extremely high, top speed capabilities.

is there a big difference between 195 and 205 tires? i mean jumping from 175 to 195 made a huge difference in handling but is the car going to feel wayy more stable? oh yea, do you think 205 will rub too much on a 92 hatch dropped 2.75 in the front?
