An intake is an intake. Personally i find it silly for anyone to pay over $100 for a piece of carbon fiber with a hole on the end.
Nothing wrong with a stockbox and a good filter.
I regret ever wasting $$ on any big name short ram or cold air intakes. Stock box with a K&N filter outperformed both of them. Just my $0.02

x2 intake= intake... make sure its nice crisp cold air!! stock box is good. unless its a swap and it wont fit up.. welll you could make it. i had many aem's they were good. but too much money. i hear a lot like the comptech ice box.. again a lot of money. i dont deal with password. think i bought 1 thing from them. they were okay. intake sound... uhh my aem chirped like a bird .. people i know thought it was hilarious. hahaaaa it was cool. made a lil deaper tone in the exhaust. but thats a given.

what do you mean authentic?? they get designs from name brands and then copy their "own" style and call it their own product.

the password jdm intake is a copy of a (insert name) intake.

they sold 99-00 civic front lips as their own that were copies of the "chargespeed" and the "j-racing lip"

They do have real and replica parts. they do sell OEM yellow fogs for the 99-00 civic and yellow replica fogs.

jus remember "jdm spec" on their site means its JDM style... not OEM.

The parts they say are OEM parts are usually replicas.

And an intake might be an intake, but a lot of eBay intakes don't even have a mount on them, so they just shake around your engine bay.

Password JDM is a horrible business for the scene. What they do is they carry a reputable product until they can replicate it.

After that, they drop the original product and sell their knockoff for the same price point.

This leads to them gaining recognition as a name brand. We have people bragging about their "PW:JDM ___________" .... did anyone ever brag about APC or DEPO?

It's damn good marketing is what it is. To me, Password: JDM = APC. Same quality of parts. Most people only brag about their parts because it has "JDM" in it, or it's popular (read: bandwagon).

As for the intake, I'm not posting pics up again this week but it cost half as much as an AEM and makes more power. Short ram/velocity stack/K&N filter = Win.
