Correct me if I'm wrong, but the purpose of the "whale *****" intake is for midrange torque, not peak power right?

straight from the sight

Made of aerospace quality carbon fiber, the Password:JDM Dry Carbon Fiber PowerChamber Intake for the 94-01 Acura Integra GSR surpasses any other intake on the market in quality, and in performance. Our intake is dyno proven to make 6.5 WHP and 7.4 FTQ on a nearly stock engine! Manufactured here in the USA, the Power Chamber is constructed of the finest carbon fiber, and filter elements currently available on the market. The Power Chamber Intake comes complete with all mounting hardware required to install on the DC2 1994-2001 Integra GSR with the factory intake manifold.

I don't have the sheets because I didn't save those runs. The best result I have seen was a short ram with a BPI velocity stack. We even tried to extend the pipe where you could never run it on the street just to see if it would gain power and it didn't.

uhhh........yes. Do you know anything about how an internal combustion engine works? Specifically regarding airflow in and out of the engine.

I'm holding this month's Import Tuner in my hands right now--they added an AEM Cold Air intake to a stock DA9 Integra and dyno'd it, they got +1.3hp and +6.3tq. I guaran-damn-tee you that an intake can give you more torque.

I am just telling you what I have seen on a dyno. I would tell you that mine made 10hp if I was selling my own branded intakes. Kind of like how everyones used **** only has 1000 - 2000 miles of use on it when they are selling it.

You will most likely never feel that +6.3tq for the $200 you just spent. But for that minimal amount then yes you are right. With that old *** DA you could have did a tune up (cap, rotor, plugs, wire, and oil change) on the car and gained the same if not more HP and tq on the car.
