Default Password Carbon Fiber PowerChamber intake EK

I've searched through out the forums but nothing really came up.. i was wondering if this intake was worth buying for $160 are there any better alternatives? is this good for the price that it is selling for?

Its a great intake, makes good numbers on the dyno, and is comparable to the J's racing intake for much less money. :-)

Get the J's racing knock-off intake. Looks the same and will have the same power output. $70 shipped the last time I checked.

definately, I think it comes in red blue and umm.. yellow.

Same design, just not made out of CF, i think the numbers are the same pretty much too. I'd rather save money than have a pretty intake that no one will ever see.

no guarentees on this, but the password one (by looking at pics) seems to be cf overlaid on fiberglass, where as the j's one seems to be stright up cf. keep in mind this is only from the pics on passwords website. not sure if you care either...

just installed a password jdm carbon fiber intake last week and no problems so far. nice little increase on the mpg and a few horses more in the high end. i would definintely recommend it it's not too loud, only at the VTEC crossover; although there is a constant hiss that comes from it.

I don't know how heavy the Password JDM intake is, but my J's Racing intake is featherlight

Would the type of engine have any role in the gains or what not? If i stick that on a stock d16y7 would i still get good gains?

i don't think its possible to stick it on a Y7 unless you have something like a Y8/Z6 manifold. the Y7 throttlebody faces upwards. i think it needs a sidemounted throttlebody.

buy this one and just repaint it black or something, or strip the paint that is on it. Underneath the hidious colors that they put on it, it is black

It looks and sounds good for the money but that carbon fiber look is going to get woren down over time.
