part questions between 93 and 94 honda civic
I'm short on cash and have to go to the junk yard I own a 93 Honda civic 1.6 ex..... they only have a 94 civic listed and it's kinda far with nothing specific about it listed on the website... I can't call them cuz it's automated and no way to get to a human to ask questions. Ok with that said my issue is gonna be one of three things and I'm trying to replace two of them this way the map sensor and fuel pressure regulator.... Will those two things in a 94 fit a 93 Honda civic.... and if so is it model specific or will any one work in mine for that year? Ty

You can check those yourself with online OEM retailers like hondapartsnow.com
Compare any 92-95 ex/si to any 92-95 dx and then again for the 92-95 cx (8 valve) and then lastly again against the 92-95 vx.
I'm assuming you are based in the USA so should be USDM.
USDM 92-95 EX/SI D16Z6 16 valve vtec motor
USDM 92-95 DX D15B7 16 valve non vtec motor
USDM 92-95 CX D15B8 8 valve non vtec motor
USDM 92-95 VX D15Z1 16 valve vtec-e motor (not sure if it was available in USDM)
There was only 4 motors in USDM and CDM for the 92-95.
Of note, some map sensors are ont he firewall and some are on the top of the throttle body.

Only 3 for CDM models, we didn't get the D15B8 boat anchor.
Yep, '92 - '93 are on the firewall, '94 - '95 on the throttlebody, for D15B7 only, all other models are on the throttlebody for all years of production.

It's the trans more than anything for the mileage methinks. That's all I'm after is either a VX manual trans or a USDM CX manual trans from the 92-95 era.
Probably cheaper than taking an EX/SI trans and regearing the final drive to be that tall.

Ty mine is on the throttle body so I just check the numbers? I'm learning to.be a mechanic on my own and it's not so easy.... can't get my foot in the door... so how exactly do I know if it will work or not by the shape and size or by the numbers on them? Once again ty... mine is also a vtech engine does that narrow it down a little? And yes based in USA and car made in USA

That way if any of them differ on a particular trim you will know before you see the junk yard car. Then when you get there you know right off if it will work for you and whether you should waste your time pulling the part(s).
For example 3 door 95 DX Manual Transmission (MT) map sensor (d15b7)
Line 21--- 37830-P05-A01 SENSOR ASSY., MAP
3 door 95 CX MT map sensor (d15b8)
Line 15--- 37830-P05-A01 SENSOR ASSY., MAP
As you can see they are the same OEM part number. You have 4 (or 3 if in Canada) trim levels to look at to check part numbers.
As for car, you have Hatchback (3 door), Coupe (2 door) and Sedan (4 door).
The rest of the leg work is yours. hondapartsnow.com

Thanx deschlong, checking inventory just shows year of civic and row. That would be quite the drive to pick up a tranny.
I figured I'd just wait until I'm visiting in the states and stop in and find a USDM CX to pull from. Might be cheaper than pick n pull's 160 bucks before tax and enviro fees. Pick a part in Chilliwack is 50 bucks cheaper but they don't update their selection as often.
The yard closest to me is pick n pull in Surrey.
