Painted My Wheels Pics Inside (56k Beware) **** i am only 28.8k
Well when i took them off i was being a dumbass and broke a lug.
Then i cleaned them and started painting.
It started getting cold so i turned on the heater.
And after 4 cans of paint and 12 light coats on all the wheels this is what they look like.
This is the next morning after they finished drying and i installed them.
All comments welcome.
BTW Here is a How-To.
1. Take the wheels off the car and clean them. (i used a rotory grinder with a scotch brite pad then just a little hand scrubing it worked great )
2. Get some 320 grit sand paper and sand them.
3. Put index cards in between the rims and the tires to keep the paint off the tires.
4. Spray one coat of primer and make sure it is completly covered.
5. Get out your paint that is the color that you want and start spraying making sure that the paint drys between each coat.
6. Put the wheels back on and enjoy those bitches.

I recommend you use clear coat as well at least 3 coats of it, I would let each coat sit a night just to ensure it's cured and dry. Just another tip when painting your wheels it might cut down on chipping off as well and add some durability. Me I stay away from spray painting wheels. You can't beat powder coat.

not to bad man.... i kind of like the stock look of del sol rims. Maybe if they were GSR rims they would be cool flat black.

So you're telling us that the little writing on that tire that says "ROTATION>>>" is facing the front of your car???
Sorry, I've never seen a unidirectional tire with the tread facing that way. The tread isn't able to push water out of the way effectively in a rainstorm when the ">" pattern is pointing toward the back of the car.

They do not look like this

so they wet the water out from in the tire all the same no matter what way they rotate
oh yeah i am sorry about saying unidirectional what i meant was it didn't matter which way it spun not that it was only meant to spin one way.

looks like my car
You should have seen what the wheels looked like before. The former owner curbed the wheels an insane amount. We actually used bondo to fill in the holes. Its held up almost a year
