Use Acetone to remove the paint, then clean the fogginess with Mothers Plastic Cleaner.

Well a Micro-Mesh kit would work the best they are designed for Acrylic and Plastics, you would have to do a search for it online to find out where to buy it.

Cool thanx, i googled the micro mesh,... looks very interesting, like wet sanding the paint off (almost). can buy it online for around 20-30$

the previous owner of my EJ decided to 'tint' the rear tailights via a thin coat of paint... now im getten **** now that the safty inspection ran out and i gotta renew it. The lights dont look half bad though...lol only Slightly illegal, could always buy new tails, but thats tons more $ than this option

Yeah that sounds like a good deal, the Micro-Mesh works great on plastics like head lights and tail lights, I have the little kit sitting here to do my headlights on my Saturn they are all hazed and tiny chips all over, and the Micro-Mesh will make it look like new. Micro-Mesh is used on aircraft windows all the time and they look like new after, and it lasts. Good luck with your project!
