p30 woes... won't rev past 4000 w/ mugen xh4 chip...
I just finished chipping my p30 ecu and it won't rev past 4000 rpm's, I added a jumper on location J1, resistor on locayion r52 and r54, the mugen chip and smaller chip in rught locations, I just chipped a p28 ecu a week ago the same way with no problems... SOMEBODY HELP.

check your if all the solder has made throught the board and if there is no shorts.
also make sure that the chip is in the right way and makes good contact.

I have never had a chip work right on the first time, Always having to get replacement chips and doing it again, could just be a bad chip...maybe?

Like eg6ajk said, check to make sure the chip is inserted correctly. A backwards chip will make it rev only to a certain point like that.

Why did you put two resistors in? You should have only put in one, a 1.1K in R52 I believe..
And for stability, you should have put caps in the two empty cap locations also..
Check all of your solder joints, something is making your car go into limp home mode.
