p28 tech
mugen chip , I have been staring at my ecu and mugen p28 chip for weeks and have now idea how to install it into my 94 civic ex ecu. Do I really need to get professional installation or has anyone done this install themselves (if so how difficult is it) ps my package from ebay has a jumper wire ,resistor, p28mugen chip, and another 20 pin chip.

Re: p28 tech (redex94)
if you are skilled with a soldering iron. go for it but becareful not to overheat the PCB board or rip off the pad area. make sure you clean up the PCB before installing parts.
just go over the pic/area.

Re: yeah but... (redex94)
maybe minor ones, I do the Base Timing and idle adjustment after changing chips but it's seldom off at all. Do you have the Mugen program or the Mugen XH4 program? (XH4 program may need a tiny idle adjustment)
do you have the instructions on how to chip?
*edit* (asking redex94 not for myself)
