Default P28 ON B18

Will a non chipped p28 work on a ls/vtec setup??? will vtec actually kick in?

ya it will probably work but i wouldn't recommend it.
Just get it chipped, instead of putting your motor at risk.

The P28 will control the VTEC, however the fuel mapping is not correct. It would be best to get the car on a dyno and have some tuning done with the P28 to get the correct curves.
If that is just to much to spend at this time, it would be at least a good idea to have the P28 with a generic standard chip for a base line program of a LS/VTEC step up. Not that it would be as sgood as one done per your set up, but even a closer map would be better than a stock P28 for your setup.
