Default P28 in 99 civic

I put my P28 ecu with the conversion harness in my 99 dx and the idle is a bit jumpy and when ever i release the gas the car kinda jerks, im pretty sure this is because of the IACv if not what u guys think, and if it is what can be done to fix this. Also i might be crazy but it seems the car is a bit slower is this possible?

So why would you run a sohc vtec ecu on a non-vtec motor? Put the old ecu back in and run it until your done with the y8. Then you can run the p28.

try disconnecting the ckp sensor plug near the end of the timing cover, its the wire that goes under the timing cover. it has 3 wires coming out of the plug. mine did the same thing
