Oversizing oil filter in 93 Honda Civic EX ... Problems?
I've read in a few S2000 forums where their owners are substituting Mobil M-105 oil filters for the M-104 (also the civics regular size). I bought a STP 3950 which is the same size as the M-105. I installed the filter last night which required a little more force to install than the std filter, but appeared to go on ok. I've driven the car a few days and it seems to be fine. Should I leave it on or should I go back to the regular filter size?

Re: Oversizing oil filter in 93 Honda Civic EX ... Problems? (magbarn)
that is the oil filter i use.. (actually supertech 3950). reason im using it because when i had an oil pressure gauge, the larger oil filter gave me roughly 5+ more psi throughout the whole rpm range. cant go wrong. Have been running it for roughly 10000+ miles now.. (change my oil every 5500 miles, synthetic of course). absolutely no prob
