Default overheating questions

ok recently noticed a small amount of white smoke coming out of the top of the radiator, smelled funny, thinking nothing of it, (flame suit on) i drive to work (25 miles away)...then i notice that car is very much reaching the red area in the meter that measures how hot the engine is....it's overheating, so i check and there's no coolant so i top that off and everything's ok....but today driving to work same thing happened car got real hot again like 80% to that red line...and i also noticed my radiator fan is not spinning....

i checked the "Fan" 15a fuse in the engine bay, it's fine...any other fuses? anyone know how much radiators run for, oem and aftermarket? any reccomendations?

also.....my blower is not working, has anything to do with rad faN?

The radiator fan doesn't stay on all the time.. Did you give it a couple minutes or wait a little while to see if it was going to kick on?

Also your over heating problem could be a sticking t-stat or just time to upgrade to a dual core radiator.

ok upper radiator hose is hot, and lower one is just warm, so from what ive read im guessing my thermostat is stuck shut or something....which is causing my fan not to spin, right?which in turn is causing my engine to overheat....am i correct, will gettting a new thermostat fix this?

yeah most likely it is your thermostat. If your lower hose is warm it is opening a little but not enough. There is a sensor right after the thermostat and when the thermostat fully opens it heats the sensor to trigger the fan. Get a new thermostat
