Overheating problems
This weekend I went out for a drive and my 00 Si started to over heat. When the car is running it is fine, but when it sits in traffic that car starts to overheat. I smelled some electrical buring smell. I got home and opened the hood to see if there were any wires burned. None where burned.
I did notice that the fan does not come on. Does anyone know if the fans are known to burn out? Also Could it be the fan or something else?
I have a hawker battery and was wondering if this is the problem. Does this battery not have the Juice to run the fan?
Thanks for any help.

its either the fan or the fan switch that goes on your block. you can disconnect the plug off the swithc and short it and see if your fan turns on. if it does, switch is no good. if not fan is no good.
the switch can also be called water temp sensor but im not too sure. i kno it as the fan switch
