I'd say go for it if the tires you're buying are more than 30 bucks.
I've never used it though so I have some questions.
How long does it last for?
Do you have to ship the tire back or just take it to somewhere locally and they'll fix it/replace it and send the bill to tirerack?

warranty depends on the tire's life. if its garunteed for 20k and if the tire goes bald before 20k miles then u get a new one. Im not sure how it is for everyone else. tirerack is local to me its about a 20 min drive so if i have any problems i just drive out there.

Yeah it looks like a good idea. Even if you only have to use it once, it pays for itself. I'm gonna get it when I order my new tires.

I'm not sure how this program works... if you have to send the tire back it would suck, but i assume you would just take it back to a place that deals with tire rack...
i would rather go to a place like Just Tires and buy their road hazard program, that way it's something local that you won't get a headache dealing with, and it's no questions asked free replacement..
(i work at just tires, i'm biased, what can i say?)

although it would be worth it to someone buying expensive lower profile tires in an area with potholes and road debris...

i bought kumho 712s in 205/40/17 a month ago from tirerack and already two of them have been punctured. i patched them up, and they're OKAY now.... i wish i would've gotten the road hazard package, though........
