Your title says 1.6 was received. How do you know it's the D16Z6 kit you received?
The timing belts have different tooth counts so are not interchangeable.

Re: Ordered 1.5 timing belt kit, received the 1.6
92-95 had 4 different engines, the D15B7, the D15B8 (same belt) the D16Z6 (different belt) and the D15Z1 (not sure which belt it uses).
The 1.6 liter uses a different belt than the 1.5 liter.
95 3 door SI - 14400-P28-004 BELT, TIMING (104RU24 A-555) (UNITTA)
95 3 door DX - 14400-PM3-004 BELT, TIMING (106RU24 A-555)
95 3 door CX - 14400-PM3-004 BELT, TIMING (106RU24 A-555)
95 3 door VX - 14400-P08-004 BELT, TIMING (103RU24 A-555) (UNITTA)
The 95 SI is the D16Z6
The 95 DX is the D15B7
The 95 CX is the D15B8 if yer in the USA
The 95 VX is the D15Z1
And look they all use different belts other than the D15B7 and B8.
I did check myself.
The worst part is your 96-99 which is actually 96-00. The D series belts of 96-00 are not even CLOSE to the B series belts. in 96-00 they had both D16Y7, D16Y8 and the B16A2 I believe. B series being dual overhead cam has a much larger belt. So no, 96-00 are far from all the same.
