Default Oops. Crashed.

Well, I feel like a jackass. I was in my first accident ever tonight, don't want to get into it, but it was my fault. I know I'm an idiot, and that's not what this thread is about.

What I'm trying to get is some advice. The car is a '92 VX. I have all these really new nice parts on it, but the trouble is the deductable for my insurance is $1000, and in addition to that, I don't have comprihensive. So I'm thinking it's not even worth it to make the claim on the car. My rates go up, etc. The car has a B18C1, 16 x 7, 4 x 114.3 ADVAN RG wheels, '96 ITR 4 x 114.3 hubs, Tein flex coilovers, fluidyne radiator, Full spoon sports cat-back with test pipe, vision mirrors, cf duckbill, jdm tail lights, spc rear LCA's... I added some of this stuff up, and It came to $6000-7000 depending on how you judge the used value. A '92 VX is worth... what, $2300 w/ 167,000 on the chasis?

Should I just part the car out and sell it? The damage isn't that bad, and the shell could be fixed, and all those parts basically pay for the car.

I think it's time to move on. I used to have a GS-R and I enjoyed driving that car a lot more than my EG, and it was nice... I wasn't ashamed on taking a girl out in the integra like I was the civic. But I'd really like to go beyond that and buy a nice cruiser.

What would you all do in my position? Here's the car:
(and I don't care that the plate is showing)

its going to cost you more getting a new chassis and tranfering everything over....i mean you could get a nicer chassis with less miles but still going to cost you a few

sorry to hear that bro. make sure you don't sign it over to the insurance company until you've got everything off of it. if i were you, i'd take everything off, maybe sell some of the stuff, get another eg and put everything back. and get full coverage too. good luck

time for a new car, i'd just part it out, since you don't have full coverage anyway.

At this point it is really your call, if it was me I would try and find a new shell and get a really nice paint job for it then put all of your nice parts on that shell. Or I would transfer the parts over to a teg. I love hondas and I will not get another car until I can afford a late model M3 or a s2000 (which proablly won't be anytime soon!)

I would buy either an LS or GSR with a blown engine and swap everything over or get an LS/GS with a good engine, swap that out and sell the LS engine. Maybe just get an LS then with the money from parting out the car you could add some boost? There are a lot of options open to you, pick one.

Damn sorry bro and it looked super clean too. Just find a LS teg and swap everything else in from the hatch. At first it didn't look too bad but if you look at the engine its tilted quite abit and don't think a new rad. support is gonna helpout.

I would do what alot of the people on here are suggesting and find an Integra w/ either a blown motor and swap all your stuff in it, or sell the parts that you have and put it toward a clean Integra if that's what you're after. Either way sorry to hear about the crash that sucks. But I would defuinately not file a claim it wouldn't be worth it in the long run. Besides you said you didn't have collision so that's out the window. Good Luck.

It dont look bad at all... Just a radiator support, fender and bumper and your good to go. Well from experience, I recommend you part it out... sell everything then sell the Shell to someone for really cheap. The car is gonna keep giving you problems after you fix it man so take my advice!

$70 on ebay. There could be some more damage that we cant see from the pics though. If the torque mounts are out of place then its a total.

I would think about fixing it... doesnt look major.

I've fixed up the front end of two honda's, both of which drive fine and line up pretty nice for a n00b.

thats why they have these new fangled inventions called frame machines. after it's on a frame machine and everythings pulled to spec have it aligned and you'll be golden.
