ONE simple vtec wiring question.
ok checked my CEL yesterday its throwing a code for the Vtec selenoid valve CODE 21.. my question is.. SINCE its only throwing a code for that... is all my other VTEC sensors/valves wired in properly.. and i should jsut check the wiring for that? like say FOR INSTANCE... i checked the CEL and it threw me 2 vtec codes like a code 21 for the selenoid valve and then one for the Knock Sensor... then that would mean my knock sensor and my selenoid valve are wired wrong? maybe? possibly.. someone help me out here im a lost ball in high weeds..
but im running OBD1 on a b16a.. and im gettin a code 21 for the vtec selenoid valve..i just want some reassurance.. cause i keep telling myself well if something else was wired in wrong it would throw a code for that one to.. is that the case? or not?

Keep in mind that the knock sensor code will only appear after the fan has cycled once. I always just let the fan turn on then off, then I bring the rpm's up to around 4000 for 5-10 seconds. If you are going to get a KS code, you'll get it doing this. That's the parameters the ECU uses to check for it.
Pressure switch code may not show until VTEC actually activates since that's the only time it looks for it. Also, most JDM ECU's don't use a pressure switch just in case that is what you are running.
