Hey guys, i picked up an old hatch for super cheap and i thought, What the hell. So i took it on the back road with no plates or insurance and tried to kill it.

I get about 5-6k in 4th doing about 89mph so i shift to 5th and the thing took like 20 seconds witht he gas on the floor to hit about 93.. Anyone know what this could be? i gave up after 3 tries. i just cant get the motor to max out or blow up, the gov doesnt hit or anything.

If you want to kill it drive in 3rd gear, close to readline, shift to second. Problem solved.

lol this is too funny...i pick up my Delsol this week and it'll have a Z6 in it...i'm gonna plug my dual cammer ecu in it....redline it to 9600 and see how it fairs...lol stupid single slammers

put a type r ecu in it and hold it at the rev limiter...that should do the trick

Well besides the point of blowing it up, i know i can easy. but i dont inderstand why it will not hit and speed cap or anything, and why 5th gear basicly does nothing.

Yeah....you are right. Since they're so stupid why don't you just take it out and I'll buy your full z6 motor, tranny, ecu for $100. Sound good? You rid yourself of it and make some money too. Yup, they are SOOO worthless, get rid of that ****.....to me. I'll take it.

PPS - I hope you hit someone's house and they sue the **** out of you because you have no insurance, and then the police put you in the slammer (where the ***** will find you) for having no plates.

What's that I detect? What we're gonna hear next from the b-series guys is "Well you can only make a d motor fast if you build the **** outta it!"

He's right you can only make one FAST if you build the **** out of it. But you could put a kit together run 10 PSI on a stock Z6 put down 235 and dominate ANY b series with the same amount into their swap. Have about $1000 into your turbo kit would get you an LSD B16 trans. I ran a Turbo Z6 until it blew TWICE, once with no boost after the $2500 rebuild. After that I gave up and bought a 92 Teg with a Built LS/VTEC for $2800. I only regret rebuilding the motor in the first place. MORAL remember the 3 Bs: Boost, Blow, B Series

89 in 4th...my vx will hit 110 in 3rd. Never tried 4th, no reason to go that fast on public roads.

Edit: granted it takes 5 mins, but it still does it
