don't tighten it so tight next time. (you did change the oil RIGHT AFTER installing the engine right?). also, use a breaker bar and a good 6pt socket

Use a breaker bar. Or find a length of small pipe to extend your ratchet length / leverage.

NO SOCKETS.... get the correct sized BOX end wrench, a length of pipe that fits over the wrench and try that.

If it ends up getting stripped out. - you can replace the oil pan (extreme) or you can get a tap and die set and attempt to repair the threads, or you can purchase a new oil drains plug that has larger diameter threads and tap your oil pan to fit the new drain plug.

BTW - take the oil pan off of the car when using a tap and die.

replacing an oil pan sucks ***, trust me. I know... and snapping bolts to the oil pan while replacing the bolts sucks *** too.

Impact gun works for me too. But then again, I never tighten the oil pan bolt that tightly.

i had to take a piece of piping to my bolt. I would try that, unless you have air tools laying around.

Just take it somewhere, and let them deal with it.

I've always had luck using my teeth. Just get a mouth full of that sucker, bite down hard, and twist. You'll never look back on all those expensive, bulky sockets and wrenches.

breaker bar with rubber mallet as someone said, or heat it up slowly with torch . Vice grip it as hard as you can and just use a mallet as well.
