I don't see how you answered his question, considering he said nothing about that tire and wheel being sold as a combo.

Btw, what I don't know about are those 17's on your del sol

My apologies, he just gave me a nice chuckle

In all honesty, I would check w/ a tire shop and see if it's possible to mount those tires on a wheel w/ such a low offset. Or you should make a thread in the Wheel/Tire Forum and you'll probably get more Wheel Guru's to help you out

BAN!!!!!!!!!

btw, to the OP, im pretty sure 205's will be fine on the 15x8. ive seen 195s put on 8 inch wide rims. not exactly sure if its the safest thing to do... but it works!

Oh god...spare me please.

I can already see your style and what you call "performance." If your rex is so great, I highly suggest you put that pic up, because that Sol is a disgrace to Del Sol owners.

a 205 width tire is good for a 5.5-7.5" wide wheel.
but, tires can stretch..which is what most of the eurocar owners do.
but i've heard its unsafe.
i'd go with a 215 or 225 width tire.
I'm running a 215/45/16 on my 16x7" wheels.

the offset of a wheel doesnt have anything to do with whether a tire will fit.
the offset is where the hub mates up with the center of the wheel.
the lower the offset, the farther the wheel sticks out of the fenders.
or so i'm led to believe...or maybe i'm just talking out my bum. haha
