OK to paint radiator Black?

Default OK to paint radiator Black?

just like it says would it make any different on the cooling on the radiator?

no it wont make a difference. I have painted them and have had friends do it too and none of us have ever had a problem.

I would think that light coats of paint would be ok but multiple coats or thick coats would prevent air flow

While it probably will not make a big difference, it will lower the efficiency of the radiator. Its really a simple matter of basic heat transfer theory. Like I said, I don't think it will make that big a difference.

Check out Eastwood, they actually make a radiator black spray paint, they claim it won't harm it.

^^^^ yes they make radiator specific paint . You can usually get it at local autoparts store i usually use it on intercoolers

And to the OP it will be fine just pick up a can of rad. paint and dont put on multiple coats like everyone said.
