Default ok i did a search cant find what car the n2 ecu comes from

ok i traded my hatch for a turbo single cam coupe. the car is a 97 ex civic with a d16y8. the kid stated the car had obd2 to obd1 conversion im pretty sure hes lying. the ecu has one badge on it and it says n2. also if it is obd2 can someone convert it to obd1 for me, or is it as simple as putting a conversion harness on the stock harness. also if this a obd 2 computer i would like to know the stuff i need to get my car running and tuned properly. heres the setup. 97 civic coupe with d16y8,greddy 18g turbo, the complete kit and a act dual friction clutch. this is my first turbo car and i just wanna a good running car. also i need a not so exspensive management because the blue box got stolen out of the car.so please help me out. thanks

the 96+ ex ecu is p2p, 92-95 is p28 and is obd1. If there is a conversion harness pull off the kick panel and look at the harness and ecu, does it go straight into the ecu or is there an adapter harness that is in-between the main harness and the ecu?

yeah I was thinking p2n (hx ecu) when I saw the n2, also look on the block for the engine code just to make sure you do have a y8 in there

hmmm... I don't quite understand that unless it's a conversion harness to maybe convert the engine from obd2b to the car which is obd2a. If it's been converted to obd1 you should be using a p28.

ahhh Skoundrel you are always on top of things

obd2a is 96-98 and obd2b is 99-00, and why would this thread get locked? They can be bad sometimes but they're not that that bad, lol.

Also it basically has to deal with the pins on the ecu and harness, I'll search and see if I can give you a link that shows you, here I'll edit my post so I act like a post *****, there was a sweet page that showed exactly whats different between them and I'm trying to find it again.

Ok here is the pinouts for 92 all the way to 2000 civic & integra, not the one I remembered but it'll do.
