Default ok, decided to go with gs-r swap instead of itr swap...couple of questions

ok...some of you may know that i've been thinking about an itr swap, but im going to go with a jdm gs-r swap (sir-g) instead (i have my reasons). first, i need to know if it's still 100% plug and play...also, do i use a 99-00 si intake for this swap?..and will all normal gs-r aftermarket parts be the same (i.e. headers, IM, cams, cam gears, etc.)? thanks in advance

Good Choice, first thing, 99-00 SI Cai fits perfect, with stock manifold or skunk2. Secondly, its the exact same as a USDM GSR mod wise.

If it comes with the JDM Engine harness it is not plug and play. You need to either make extensions *bad idea* or find yourself a B16/B18C harness, or use a EX, VX harness and run some more lines.

get an obd1 GSR harness and its plug and play. Also, JDM GSR over ITR because for the price difference you could mod the JDM GSR to be noticiably faster then the ITR. (ie, CTR pistons bring comp to 12.04:1, throw in some CTR cams and maybe a skunk2 mani.

What is missing from this post: what car, what year motor, did it come with axles, tranny, ecu.

and I probably missed something important. shift lingages, maybe?
