well my a/c compressor is squeeking badly ..alot of people tell me its the bearing inside that were not oiled up now are messed up..the a/c still blows cold so the clutch is ingaging its just making horrible noise..so i plan on replacing the compressor..how would i go about this not happening again? how do i make sure it has enough oil?

I don't think an oil problem had anything to do with the failure of the compressor. The bearing just died.

hmmh maybe not..but i would like others to chime in on the subject!

when you get the compressor, go to the auto parts store (if you aren't there already) and purchase some frigi-quiet or something of the sort, it looks like predator blood (if you've ever seen the movie) and you will probably use about 1 1/2 small bottles (they may be 4 oz? i don't know that off hand) and put them in the compressor before you install the lines.
