Default Oil question

I'm sure there have been many debates on the forum about this. just wondering what kind of oil you guys use... seems like a lot of people use mobil 1. does that high mileage stuff really work? (rebuild seals and stuff)

i use full synthetic, and honestly oil is oil is oil, as long as you use the right type (i.e. synthetic 5w-30, 10w-40, whichever you choose that is good for your vehicle)

so the high mileage thing you see on commercials and in the store isn't going to help my engine at all compared to normal oil?

not really, i mean all modern synthetic oils are very similar. sure the "high mileage" might make a difference because they are aimed at reducing sludge, but it isn't by much.

If I understand my service manual. my car only holds 1 quart of oil. This seems to be too low. is it right?

I have no idea what your looking at, but your car holds 3.5 quarts.
