Default Oil question**

I've been running 5w-30 mobil one in my car and I was just wondering with my setup if theres a better oil/weight to use? Or if what I've been running is fine.

Engine mods:
B16a2 Motor, Ported & Polished
Jackson Racing Supercharger 7lb
Apexi WSII Full Cat
Jackson Racing High Flow Cat
DC Sports
Walbro Fuel Pump
ARC Magic Induction Box with Custom-Made Armpipe
Crower Valves
Crower Titanium Retainers
ITR Valve Springs
CTR Cams
Spoon Cam Gears
Spoon Thermostat
MSD Ignition Spark Plug Wires

5w-30 should be fine, though with cold weather you may consider going a little heavier like 10w-30 but thats just preference. Mobil 1 is has some of the best oil so you're good to go.

pretty sure it'd be the other way around. The manual says to use 5w-30. 10w-30 is acceptable, but not under very cold temperatures. 5w-30 shows to be more "effective" through a wider range of temperatures. Correct me if I'm wrong anyone.

you posted this in forced induction too. Why post in 2 places?

FI is gonna give you the better answer with regards to boosted motors.

I wouldn't run any less than 10w30 with the additional stresses and excess heat generated by boost, especially using a roots style blower.

so is it better to use 10w-30? ive stuck with 5w-30 (castrol) since i bought my car...
