Oil leak!!! HELP!!!!
i have a 96 civic with an ls.vtec swap. i changed my oil pan gasket thinking i had an oil pan leak. after i changed the gasket it started to leak again. i looked up to see that i had a oil leak coming from the block. i don't know the name of the part and the gasket to get. i have a pic with an arrow pointing to the leak.

Re: Oil leak!!! HELP!!!!
Is oil also dripping out of the weep hole at the bottom of the lower timing belt cover (not visible in picture)? If so, the oil leak could possibly be originating from the cam seal or even from the driver's side of the valve cover. You'll definitely identify the leak source (oil pump, cam seal, valve cover) when both timing belt covers are removed.

When checking for oil leak sources, you must work from the top of the engine down, not from the bottom up. Cleaning the engine thoroughly with degreaser beforehand and using oil trace dye with a blacklight makes easy work of it.
