Oil Burning Question
So I got my oil changed two weeks ago. (Too lazy to go and get on the cold wet ground myself). I checked the oil at the beginning of this week and it was low. Had to put about 2.5 quarts in it. Checked it today again, it was about 1.5 low.
The car isnt smoking, no leaks coming from any bolts, and the oil filter is clean. What could be causing it to use this much oil? I searched and some threads said it could be the PCV valve. Could this be the source of the problem?
The car has 160,000 on it. 94 coupe.

Re: Oil Burning Question (SLOW guy)
Ok. Im currently using 10w40 (doesnt get that cold here). I'll add a high mileage oil and see if that helps. I might put in some lucas as well and see if that helps any.

Re: Oil Burning Question (sasser43)
Unless there are major internal problems, there is now way the motor should be burning that much oil. Maybe 2.5 quarts per oil change (even then ), but not per 2 weeks.
