oil buring/smoke under acceleration
I just bought a 1992 civic hb. It came with a jdm 1.5 motor. when i test drove it, it felt good and still does fell really strong. as i drove it home, i notice that as i accelerated it smoked. any insight as too how bad this could be? can it be fixed cheaply?

Bad rings or bad valve seals. Is it bad?? well it isn't good. It can be fixed, the cost will be dependant on what parts you wish to fix it with.

Yeah, you're not gonna kill it. Just check your oil EVERY time you fill up with gas. Yoyu can try some Lucas oil treatment and might reduce the smoke a little bit.
