it will fit, but you'll need to cut the stock B-pipe and put on some custom hangers for it...

after all the work of getting it to fix, would it even be worth it? and why do you need duals? to fill both exhaust spots on your black widow rear bumper?

yah i'm only planning on putting on 1 muffler.....since it has a twin loop/lube design like the mugen mufflers

I want to bring this back from the dead now cause I have an s2000 muffler in my room right now and need some help on mounting it to my 1996 Civic hatch. Please help if you have any information. My questions are, I was looking at these pictures and after test fitting I noticed that the muffler will not clear the gas tank. Is that true? I noticed that in the pictures it looks like the muffler is tilted to avoid this problem. Is that also true? Anybody who actually did this on a EK civic PLEASE HELP!!!

That car used to belong to user 'YumVTEC'. Drop him a PM. I'm sure he just used custom piping and had the muffler welded on.

just have an exhuast shop do it for you if you're dead set on it. the shop i used had to cut the inlet piping off the muffler all the way up to about 1" away from the back of the muffler, then weld on new stuff.
i do *NOT* recommend putting a single s2k muffler on anyone's b-series swapped civic because for me it totally killed my top end, and was way too restrictive. yes, it was very quiet compared to the fart can i had originally on my b18c5 ek, but it definitely made me slower. the reason is that a single s2k muffler is not designed to flow as much HP as a b-series motor puts out. think about it, the s2k itself has two of the same mufflers and needs both of them to be able to flow 240hp (crank). to me that would go to say that one of the mufflers is only good for about 120hp (again, at the crank) worth of flow.
you'd be much better off getting a stock ITR muffler or an RSX muffler for that matter.

Not an S2000, but a RSX Type S muffler on my car. The S2000 and the RSX Type S muffflers are the same except the S2000 comes with an extra one. The hangers and the axleback needs to be modified.

i think the RSX muffler flows better internally as well. my friend has an rsx type-s muffler available for sale if anyone is interested. PM him, his username is shivic.

Alright, I just got back from the muffler shop from getting the s2000 exhaust installed on my 96 civic dx hatch. Well, after tilting the thing a little and like 20 minutes and explaining to the muffler guy about how to make it fit just right and whey I was installing this thing in the first place cause he had "Fast and Furious" pipes he could put on instead. Well, the sound is really quit, though I havn't gone full open throttle yet. But I did feel like I gained in the low end, but the high end still feels about the same, but all in all, I am very happy. Once I get hold of a digital camera, I'll try to post pictures.
Well, I think thats everything. Hopefully when I drop the car in the next week, there will be no clearance issues with the axle and the rear lower control arm.
