OEM Honda ITR cams in a B16a2
IF you swap ITR or CTR cams into a B16a2 do you have to get a VTEC controller to change the VTEC RPM from 5500 to like 5800? Someone said this. I dont believe it.

You should get a VAFC and dyno tune it to get the best gains from it. If you just slap the cams in it might even make the car slower! Yes, you will probably need to change the VTEC x-over.

if you go with ctr or itr cams
just get the intake cam
exhaust cam is pretty much the same on the Type R and GSR and B16A
vafc cam gears and tuning and you should see some results

Can you just slap in the intake cam? I dont want a V-Afc, if so what kind of gains would I see?

i dont understand why one would buy cams and not want to maxamize their gains by not getting them tuned.

i'd recommend a Hondata ECU instead of the V-AFC.
IMO, any time you replace the cams and/or cam gears, you should get it dyno tuned. Just slapping on new cams will only hurt you in the long run. Don't be a ricer, and just start installing **** because it's cool, and letting your friends know you installed cams. Why don't you throw on some strobes and neon nozzles go boot.
