I like the way they look but are they worth buying for the light output? The civic headlights are not the best in the world and I am trying to see better at night. I did a search and no one was talking about if they are worth buying for the light output. The posts were all about where to buy them and how to install them.

IMO they help a lot.... i got some piaa yellow ion bulbs that i put int he foglights and there was a good amount of yellow light emitted and i was able to tell it was coming from the foglights because of the yellow... but i never used the stock bulbs on it so i do not know how bright those are

not to hi-jack the thread but I have a set I'm selling if anyone is interested. IMHO they do help, something is better than nothing. Specially if you change the fogs for some PIAA's (if for some reason you need more light output)

I have PIAA "HID look" bulbs in my fogs(because i have HID's). They put out really great BRIGHT light.. but they are fog lights, so it does not go that far out, but when they are off i know they are off.

I had the JDM OEM ones, and yes they are bright. I had the Running Lights on my Coupe plus FOgs, on one night and I didnt even know my headlights where off.

well when i had my fog lights ,i had the catz h3 yellow bulbs and they were pretty bright then i took the foglight apart and it has a deflector in it and i removed it and the light output was amazing ,so it seems like a good way to make them brighter

Are the aftermarket foglight the same thing as the factory ones? Same quality?

I can get a pair of PIAA H3s (Xtreme, Super, etc) for about $50...if you paid more, you overpaid. Heck, I still think $50 is way too much for H3s already!

Try procarparts.com, nopi.com, or Autozone (they sell Pilot brand OEM styles).
