OE-Standard Exedy Clutch kit (i searched!)
yo guys.
I know this kinda is an exausted topic...but I've searched and didn't find the answer to my particular situation. I don't know is the Exedy "Organic" clutch is the same is these "OE-Standard" ones that are goin' on ebay for about 110 bucks.
I have a stock 92 VX and I need a new clutch. I was gonna go for the typical Pep Boys OEM clutch that goes for around 120 bucks, and either put that on, or get an EX/SI tranny and put it on.
Now, the guy on ebay, who seems very reputable, claims this OE-Standard clutch is 20% stronger than stock..so I was thinking I'd be better off with that then just getting a pep boys clutch. I barely drive hard; only once and a while..and its mainly a daily driver.
Do you guys have any experience with the OE-Standard Exedy clutch, or do you have any imput as to my particular situation (either the stock VX tranny or in the EX/SI tranny?)
Thanx in advance, and sorry for the long-*** post.

I just bought a mixed combo off ebay...it had an exedy disc. I installed (B16A), but it feels pretty damn good. Smooth as **** and so far it has put up with my abuse.

if its better, its not by much
its still an OE standard clutch and if your pushing out more than 25 hp than stock its time to upgrade.

I ordered one...they say they've tested on a car with a 55 shot and no problems. I'll be pushing 160 whp in my d16 so we'll find out if it holds up...lol. Probably not, but I don't drive that hard.
Crescent from c-speed is selling the exact same clutch for 289 and says it will hold fine.
