Default o2 sensor problem

All right i hooked my car up to a computer to reste the check engine ligth and it kicked back on saying that the second o2 sensor was not there. but it was i had the exuast off of my other 98 coupe on there(all stock) it works with no lights on the other car but not on this one.
anyone no why or have a problem like that are there fuse's for the o2 sensors or anything that would make them work that could foul out?

Check all your other sensors first, usually the o2 sensor won't turn the check engine light on until theres been enough heat running through the pipes. Also, be sure that the o2 sensor is in the right place, sometimes if its in the wrong place, it wont be able to get the right readings.

normally what i do is disconnect the positive batter cable or there is a fuse box in the engine bay and i believe its a 7.5 fuse that is also for the radio. i usually take that out for about 10 seconds and it should reset the ecu, thus resetting the check engine light.

k so i went to a shop the reset the ecu but it kicked the check engine light on saying the rear o2 senor is bad.n but it works on my other car same model same year. i took the o2 sensors off of my other 98 civic but not working. i guess the only way i can do it is to change over the entire exuast? maybe my dc o2 extesion wires are wired wrong? any opinions?

what year is your car? check your wiring on the extended plug for the o2. if your car is an obd2 then you have 2 o2 sensors. one before the cat is called the primary and one after the cat is call secondary.

it might be wired wrong, or that extender whatever has the wires in the wrong places on the one or both of the connectors... there should be two black wires(heater power wires.. which are interchangeable) one green wire and one white
these two are important because they are the ones that send the signal to the computer... the white must be hooked up to white and the green to green...
your conector may have these two wires crossed, or any combo of wires crossed..
i would throw that connector in the trash, then get so speaker wire or some 18 ga or 22 ga wire and hard wire it straight the the factory harness, this should correct the prob... if not, check the wire going to the computer with a resistance checker or even a continuity light... (UNLPLUG YOUR ECU FIRST YOU DONT WANNA RISK FRING IT) when you check the code does it say (sensor 2 bank 2) or something like that at the end of the code?if so the wires could crossed
